Interim Head of Category
Interim Search AB has been commissioned to find an Interim Head of Category for a Sweden-based, internationally active company in the outdoor industry.
You report to the Chief Product Officer (CPO)
Main tasks:
- Manage and lead the Category Management team day to day.
- Retain and stabilise the team through the leadership transition, run reviews and keep capacity steady.
- Recommend product, colourway and price point decisions within the Category Management remit. Make decisions with CPO
- Manage and facilitate the go-to-market process with support from the CPO and the category team.
- Land the SS28 range build and drive the FW28 seasonal range build, and help kickoff the SS29 Range.
- Lead the quick-to-market product pathway for current pilot and future projects
To be relevant for the role:
- You have senior category leadership in premium outdoor or performance apparel.
- You have category experience from apparel and it’s a merit if you also have experience from footwear and hardware
- You have a track record of managing a GTM calendar to the gates reliably.
- You have experience across European wholesale and DTC channels.
- You are a people leader who can step into an existing team and settle it quickly.
- You are fluent in English.
- You are a steady-hand operator, not a strategist or a builder.
- It’s a merit if you know Swedish or another Nordic language.
- It’s a merit if you have previous interim leadership assignments.
- It’s a merit if you have knowledge of the DACH outdoor market.
