Interim Contract Manager
Västerås | KonfidentielltInterim Search has been tasked with appointing an interim Contract Manager to a leading engineering company that helps its clients with turnkey substation solutions in power transmission, renewable energy and transport. The assignment can be carried out remotely up to 80 %.
Main tasks: (Your working area & responsibilities)
- Reporting to Head of Legal and Contract Management.
- Contract Oversight – Effective Governance ensures the portfolio of contracts in the business.
- Procurement – Tender preparation, negotiation, recommendation and award.
- Contract Administration – From project kick-off to project closure. Identifies the contract baseline and highlights areas of potential risk.
- Subcontract Administration – Effective administration of the domestic subcontractors to ensure the awarded scope is delivered as prescribed with all contractual obligations duly satisfied.
- Change Management – Establishes and enforces standard change methodologies in portfolio of contracts.
- Project Reporting – In accordance with reporting schedule and in concert with Project Manager and functional teams.
- Risk management – Analyzes contract terms to highlight areas of potential opportunity and risk, such as ambiguities, omissions and conflicts, as work proceeds.
Experience Required:
- 5+ years of similar work experience.
- Extensive experience related to EPC contracts, preferably in the energy industry.
- Knowledge of ABT06, NS8407, FIDIC and similar bespoke contracts.
- Master or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Law or qualified by working experience.
- Excellent oral and written legal business English and Swedish.
About the process:
The assignment is 100 % of full-time and is expected to last for at least 6 months, probably longer or whit good opportunities for a permanent role or those who are interested. The assignment can be handled remotely up to 80 %.
