Interim Project Implementation Director
Interim Search has been entrusted with filling the position of Interim Director of Project Realization, with responsibility for ensuring the successful business implementation of our client’s strategic investment projects from permitting through to commercial operation.
The role encompasses the business process from the approved phase and investment decisions through to implementation and commercial operation. The focus is on ensuring the commercial, financial, and contractual conditions of the projects, as well as maintaining the business value of the investments throughout the entire implementation process.
Main duties
- Lead and coordinate the work leading up to investment decisions for projects, including timelines, decision-making documentation, and ensuring investment readiness.
- Ensure the business and investment cases and be responsible for financing strategies and dialogue with banks, investors, and public funding sources.
- Manage commercial processes, major procurement projects, and negotiations with customers, suppliers, and strategic partners.
- Be responsible for contract and implementation strategies, including EPC/EPCM arrangements and complex contracting structures.
- Represent the investment owner during the construction and implementation phases and ensure that the projects’ commercial conditions and strategic objectives are maintained.
- Manage strategic risks, report to management and the board, and lead the Operational Readiness efforts in preparation for commercial operations.
To be eligible for the role, you must
- 15+ years of experience in the energy, industrial, or infrastructure sectors.
- Experience with major CAPEX projects and investment processes.
- Proven experience in investment decisions, project financing, and commercial negotiations.
- Experience with EPC/EPCM arrangements and complex contract structures.
- Experience leading cross-functional programs and managing external stakeholder relationships.
