Interim Factory Manager US (East Coast)
Interim Search has been entrusted to appoint an interim Factory Manager for a multinational company operating in over 100 countries.
The current site in the US is undergoing a major relay, heavy investments are being made, and the main mission for the leader is to ensure the proper progress of the investment of capacity increase.
Key responsibilities:

Responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to the entire plant.
- Ensure world-class manufacturing performance, maximize operational efficiency, and drive a culture of continuous improvement (Lean Manufacturing) while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
- Ensure the proper progress of the investment of capacity increase – there is a project manager in charge, dotted line.
- Ensure and develop the operations of the site, both reaching operational targets and ensuring a transition to new ways of working.
- Assess the factory operations performance and ensure that correct actions are identified.
- Ensure a good functioning management team.
To be considered for the role:
- Several years of progressive manufacturing experience, with at least 5-10 years in a senior plant management or operations leadership role (based in the US) within a complex engineering, capital equipment, or heavy machinery environment.
- Industrial and/or Mechanical Engineering background.
- Deep expertise in Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma.
- Proven track record of strong leadership capabilities, delivering results using an agile and empowering leadership style.
- Experience in successfully managing various stakeholders and business partners at all levels of the organization, as well as external partners.
- Thorough understanding of US regulatory environments, including safety standards, environmental laws, and standard US accounting practices for manufacturing (GAAP).
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral, in english.
About the process:
The assignment is full-time (100%), starting in September and is expected to last for 6 – 9 months. For European consultants it means being able to relocate during the assignment.
Candidate presentations will take place in week 27, followed by client interviews shortly thereafter.
