Interim President Global Business Area

Interim Search have been trusted to appoint a President Business Area for a global B2B manufacturing company.
The role carries end‑to‑end P&L responsibility and leadership of an integrated global business covering product development, manufacturing, go‑to‑market, sales, and customer care. The position reports to the CEO of the Group and is a member of Group Management, contributing to enterprise‑wide strategy, governance, and value creation.
The appointment is critical to sustain profitable growth, accelerating innovation and sustainability, and strengthening leadership and succession within the Business Area.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Value Creation

  • Translate strategy into measurable commercial, operational, people and financial outcomes.
  • Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities across core products, services, and Customer Care offerings.

Business and Financial Accountability

  • Full responsibility for the integrated P&L, including revenues, margins, costs, and investments.
  • Deliver performance with rigorous follow‑up and corrective actions.
  • Balance growth investments with cost discipline and capital efficiency.
  • Lead the Business Area, end‑to‑end, ensuring alignment across product development, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and customer care.
  • Drive digitalization and data‑enabled decision‑making throughout the Business Area.

People & Organization

  • Build, lead, and develop a strong and diverse leadership team.
  • Promote inclusion, collaboration, accountability, and high performance across the organization.

Enterprise Contribution & Collaboration

  • Actively contribute to Group Management, shaping Group strategy and priorities beyond the Business Area.
  • Ensure strong collaboration with other Business Areas and Group Functions to leverage scale and shared capabilities.
  • Represent the Business Area credibly with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Profile and Experience:

  • 20+ years of senior leadership experience in international business environments.
  • Proven experience of successfully leading an integrated (end-to-end) P&L within a global or international organization with profitable growth as a result.
  • Background in B2B industries with own manufacturing operations (capital equipment).
  • International exposure and comfort operating across cultures and markets
  • Great track record of growing talents and developing strong succession pipeline
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with executional rigor
  • High commercial acumen and customer orientation
  • Outstanding leadership capability, delivering results through an agile and empowering leadership style, which has demonstrated followership.
  • Confident in driving transformation and change management including digitalization aspects
  • Confident decision‑maker with courage to act in complex and ambiguous situations

The process

The assignment is full time and is approximately 9-12 months in length, starting immediately.
Location is preferably Stockholm, but other locations in Europe can be discussed.
Candidates will be presented to the client during last week of April, and interviews will take place no later than first week of May.
