Interim Product Line Director

Interim Search has been entrusted to appoint an interim Project Line Director for a consumer goods manufacturing company.

Key responsibilities:

  • Guide, mentor, and further develop a high-achieving team of specialists within product management, R&D, and project execution
  • Foster a highly commercial, global, and collaborative mindset and working culture throughout the organization.
  • Head and advance the comprehensive product strategy, commercial roadmap, and overall portfolio aligned with market trends and customer expectation.
  • Maximize the competitiveness and profitability of the company’s core product solutions and offerings.
  • Ensure that new product introductions (NPI) are successfully delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle from inception to phase-out, ensuring effective portfolio management
  • Establish strong, cross-functional collaboration with key global business units and support functions.
  • Identify and capitalize on operational and commercial synergies across different product lines and categorie

To be considered for the role:

  • Over a decade of proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing substantial teams.
  • Deep knowledge and a solid background spanning product management, product development, and project execution.

  • A thorough understanding of how to drive collaboration across diverse functions within mid-sized corporate environments.

  • Prior experience operating in an international business setting, preferably with a B2B focus (B2C experience is advantageous).

  • A strong business acumen, ideally complemented by direct exposure to sales or marketing strategies.

  • An entrepreneurial drive paired with the capability to champion organizational change and continuous improvement.

  • Exceptional communication capabilities combined with expert stakeholder management and a supportive, coaching leadership approach focused on motivating, engaging, and developing team members

About the process

The assignment is full-time (100%) and is expected to last for 6-12 months. Candidate presentations will take place in week 25, followed by client interviews in week 26.
