Interim Search has been engaged to appoint an Interim Finance Manager for an industrial company based in Oslo.

The assignment aims to lead a finance transformation journey with a strong focus on establishing structure, ensuring process compliance, and improving financial reporting across the organization. The company is undergoing a significant phase of change following leadership transitions and is now looking for a senior, hands-on interim consultant who can work closely with both local management and on group level. The role is part of the Norwegian leadership team and reports to the Regional Director Nordics.

Main responsibilities:

Lead the change management efforts on-site in close collaboration with Nordic colleagues in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.
Oversee the company’s financial management, accounting and reporting.
Ensure compliance with established processes within the ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012).
Structure project cost accounting and ensure correct revenue recognition.
Contribute to business development through improved financial follow-up and process optimization.
Take responsibility for leading the finance team of two.

To be considered for the role:

10–15 years of experience in a senior finance leadership role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (debits and credits), with an understanding of long-term financial impact.
Experience from industrial, technical, construction or similar industries.
A proven track record of driving both structural and cultural change.
Experience working in matrix organizations.
A confident, modest and change-oriented leadership style, with the ability to engage and inspire colleagues at all levels.

About the process:
