Interim HR Director

Bengt is an international HR manager who stands out from the crowd because he has been responsible for staff in war zones. He had a rocket career in one of the world's largest media companies and - after successfully building the Nordic HR business - was appointed their internal HR change leader. He thus embarked on an international career. Geographical responsibilities have included the Nordic countries, the Middle East, Africa, much of Central Europe and the Balkans. At its peak, the business unit comprised 5,000 employees and a dozen direct-reporting HR managers. He was then externally recruited to become the HR Director of an international telecom company with responsibility across EMEA. After more than a decade of intensive travel, he chose to start working as an interim consultant in 2008 and has since had ten assignments of varying nature: some local and operational, others international and strategic.

Assignments with international elements and that require a broad manager who is not afraid to work operationally are most relevant to Bengt. He also enjoys his role as a project manager in HR and still likes to travel for work.
