Interim M&A Project Manager

Main duties:

• Origination: Independently research the specific niche market, identify potential acquisition targets (1–2 small consulting/engineering firms in the life sciences sector), and establish initial contact with company owners.
• Target Screening & Valuation: Conduct rapid initial analyses of financial status and strategic fit, perform indicative valuations, and provide recommendations on relevant targets.
• Transaction Management: Own and manage the transaction process—from the indicative offer and letter of intent (LOI) to the completion of due diligence, signing, and closing.
• Negotiation: Be responsible for and conduct negotiations.
• Contract Process & Documentation: Coordinate with external legal counsel and manage the workflow related to the drafting and finalization of share purchase agreements (SPAs) and other transaction documentation.

To be eligible for the role:

• Do you have documented experience independently leading entire M&A processes—from identification and screening to drafting agreements and closing transactions?.
• Do you have the ability to quickly conduct initial company analyses, perform indicative valuations, and assess strategic and commercial fit?.
  Do you have solid experience leading purchase and sale negotiations, coordinating due diligence processes, and overseeing work related to share purchase agreements (SPAs) and transaction documentation?.
• Do you have the ability to establish trusting and professional relationships with owners at an early stage?.
• Do you have experience with a hands-on, driven approach and the ability to coordinate all aspects of the project on your own without extensive support?.

About the process

The assignment is expected to last 6 months, full-time. Start date: immediately. We will present candidates to the client on October 29, and client interviews with the company will take place shortly thereafter.
