Interim Freight Forwarder for International Road Transport
Interim Search has been commissioned to fill the position of Interim International Road Transport Freight Forwarder for a leading logistics and transportation partner in the Nordic region.
The Role of Interim Freight Forwarder for International Road Transport covers international transport flows for less-than-truckload (LTL), groupage, and full truckload (FTL) shipments, with a focus on markets in Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans, and Greece.
Main duties
- Plan, book, and optimize international shipments.
- Be responsible for day-to-day communication with customers, carriers, and business partners.
- Manage quotes, capacity procurement, and price negotiations.
- Ensure delivery quality, capacity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Handle deviations and find solutions when conditions change.
- Monitor performance, quality, and profitability within your service area.
- Contribute to the development of work methods, procedures, and digital solutions.
Who we are looking for:
- You have experience in international freight forwarding, transportation management, or another operational role in logistics and transportation.
- You have extensive experience working with transportation management systems (TMS) and multiple digital information flows.
- You combine business acumen, problem-solving, and relationship-building
- You are self-motivated, take responsibility for your area of work, and are comfortable making decisions.
- You have the ability to maintain structure even when the pace is fast
- You are development-oriented and see opportunities for improvement; you challenge established ways of working when necessary and ensure that both the organization and you continue to grow
- You have a good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Experience in personnel management and change management processes is a plus
- It is a plus if you have additional language skills related to our transportation sectors
About the process
The assignment is for 100% of full-time work. It will begin in early November and is expected to last 6 months.
