Interim Director of IT Service Delivery
Interim Search has been commissioned to fill the position of Interim Director of IT Service Delivery for a global organization. The role involves overall responsibility for IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and end-user services in an organization with high demands for stability, security, and scalability. A major focus of the assignment will be project-managing the implementation of a new ITSM system, with responsibility for ensuring a structured migration, business adaptation, and successful adoption within the organization.
Main duties:
- Lead and Develop the IT Service Delivery Function
- Ensure stable and secure operations in infrastructure, workplace IT, and IT support
- Be responsible for the Microsoft 365 environment, endpoint management (Intune), Entra ID, and Defender
- Manage and monitor ITSM processes and lead the implementation of a new ITSM platform (HALO)
- Monitor service performance and KPIs, and drive continuous improvement
- Manage escalations and ensure effective problem-solving in complex IT environments
- Be responsible for supplier management and external IT partners
- Drive technical changes as a technical change approver
- Ensure compliance, adherence to policies, and conduct internal controls and audits
- Identify and drive investments through business cases and cost-benefit analyses
- Lead, coach, and develop the global IT Service Delivery team
- Create a culture characterized by accountability, performance, and continuous improvement
To be eligible for the role:
- Extensive experience in IT service delivery at the senior level
- Proven experience leading both internal and external IT teams in complex environments
- Strong technical understanding of: Microsoft 365, Intune, Defender, Entra ID, Azure environments, and modern IT architectures
- Experience leading change initiatives, including ITSM implementations
- Experience in supplier management and outsourcing
- Strong analytical skills and confidence in decision-making, even with limited information
- Strong communication skills and experience working with international stakeholders
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
About the process
The assignment begins in August and is expected to last 6 months. We will present candidates on July 2, and interviews will take place shortly thereafter.
