Interim Strategic Purchaser
Interim Search has been commissioned to appoint an Interim Strategic Buyer to an international industrial company in central Sweden.
The company operates in a technologically advanced business with high demands on quality, delivery reliability and long-term supplier development. To strengthen the purchasing organization, we are now looking for an experienced strategic buyer who can drive complex sourcing and procurement initiatives in technical categories.
Main duties:
- Drive strategic sourcing and procurement projects in MRO, CAPEX and construction related categories.
- Lead supplier selection, commercial negotiations and contract management.
- Develop and implement category and sourcing strategies.
- Identify cost saving opportunities and drive improvement initiatives in the area of purchasing.
- Develop and maintain long-term supplier relationships.
- Work closely with the business in engineering, production, project management and finance.
- Manage commercial, contractual and supplier-related risks.
- Ensure that procurement is carried out according to budget, schedule and quality requirements.
- Contribute to the transformation and development of the purchasing function.
- Monitor supplier performance and analyze market developments and sourcing opportunities
To be eligible for the role:
- You have several years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement.
- Have proven experience in independently managing sourcing and procurement projects.
- You have experience in MRO, CAPEX and/or construction related purchasing.
- You have experience in industrial, manufacturing or technically oriented businesses.
- Have you worked in international and matrix-driven organizations.
- You have a strong commercial understanding and are used to leading complex negotiations.
- You have the ability to build relationships and manage many stakeholders simultaneously.
- You have a structured, analytical and result-oriented approach.
- You are fluent in written and spoken English.
About the process
The assignment is expected to last 12 months full time starting immediately. We present candidates to the client on 29/5 and interviews with the client company will take place in connection with that.
