Interim Deputy Department Head
We are currently seeking an Interim Deputy Head of the Installation Department for a well-established company in the installation and contracting industry. This is a business-critical assignment in which you will serve as a key member of the operational management team, responsible for developing project operations and establishing structure within a project-intensive organization. The role involves close collaboration with the department head and a clear focus on leading, coaching, and developing the region’s project managers. You will be a key enabler of the business’s continued growth by ensuring a consistent approach to work, high-quality project execution, and hands-on leadership.
Main duties:

Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the region’s project portfolio and ensure that projects are carried out according to plan in terms of time, budget, quality, and resources.

Coach, support, and develop a group of project managers with varying levels of experience. Provide structure, project planning, and situational leadership to strengthen both individuals and the organization.

Ensure a structured approach by continuously monitoring project finances, forecasts, resource planning, and risk management.

Provide support in complex customer discussions and contribute expertise in construction law and project implementation as needed.

Help develop common working methods, processes, and procedures that enhance the project organization’s efficiency and create favorable conditions for continued growth.
To be eligible for the role:

Do you have several years of experience in project work within installation, construction, or related technical fields, and are you accustomed to working in project-intensive environments?.

Do you have experience leading project managers, supervisors, or similar roles, and are you driven by developing people and building high-performing teams?.

Do you have a solid understanding of AB04 and ABT06, as well as experience working with construction projects and their contract types?.

Do you have experience monitoring project finances, working with forecasts and resource planning, and ensuring profitability through a structured approach?.

You communicate clearly, are unpretentious, and are fully present.

Do you have the ability to build trust with both experienced and less experienced employees, and to adapt your leadership style to each individual and situation?.
About the process
The assignment is for 100 % and is expected to last approximately 12 months, starting as agreed. The position is based in Gothenburg.
