Interim Search has been commissioned to recruit an Interim Senior Business Controller for a prominent international company within the finance sector. The company is in an exciting growth phase and is seeking a driven employee to strengthen and build up the controlling function within the international team in Northern Germany. You will report to the Global Director of Business Control.
Experience from companies operating in several European countries is considered an asset, as the role involves providing support to several nearby markets in Europe. The position is based in Germany, and travel will occur on a quarterly basis. You are senior in your role and will provide qualified support to Country Managers, while also being unpretentious and prepared to assist colleagues within the team when the opportunity arises.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Responsible for the analysis and interpretation of forecasts to enable strategic control and development.
- Support local companies within Europe with financial reporting and the preparation of business cases for both new and existing customers.
- Drive proactive efforts to develop and improve financial reporting and follow-up processes within the group.
- Maintain continuous and close cooperation with local leaders in each country to support performance follow-up and decision-making across several European markets.
To be considered for the role:
- Academic degree (Bachelor or Master) in Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Several years of experience in financial controlling, business controlling, or a similar role within an international company.
- System skills: Very proficient user of Microsoft Office, with advanced proficiency in Excel modeling and analysis (experience with BI tools is an asset).
- Experience from the service (required) or finance industry is an asset.
- Good understanding of accounting principles.
- Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written. (Group language is English)
- Experience working with Nordic companies is considered an asset.
About the process:
The start date is January. The assignment is full-time and is initially expected to run for 6 months, with the possibility of permanent employment. We will present candidates on December 8th, and interviews with the client company will be held shortly thereafter.
