Interim Senior Buyer (CAPEX)
Interim Search has been entrusted with appointing an interim Senior Buyer (CAPEX) for a larger international company.
The Senior Buyer (CAPEX) is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and contracting capital equipment and investment-related goods and services.
Sentrale ansvarsområder:

Lead end-to-end sourcing for CAPEX projects (equipment, machinery, production lines, infrastructure, technology investments).

Develop and maintain CAPEX category strategies aligned with business needs, lifecycle cost, and longterm asset planning.

Act as procurement lead in crossfunctional CAPEX project teams (Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Finance, Sustainability).

Manage RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs with clear specifications, evaluation criteria, and risk assessments.

Negotiate contractual- and commercial terms and conditions and service agreements.

Drive contract lifecycle management, ensuring compliance with legal, technical, and ESG requirements.

Secure longterm value through TCObased decision making and riskadjusted cost models.

Build and maintain strategic relationships with key CAPEX suppliers.

Evaluate supplier performance on quality, delivery, safety, sustainability, and innovation.
- Support budgeting and forecasting for CAPEX projects.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to supply, installation, commissioning, and longterm asset reliability.
For å være relevant for rollen:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent.
- 5–7 years of experience in procurement, ideally with CAPEX or technical sourcing.
- Strong understanding of industrial equipment, production technology, or construction projects.
- Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
- Experience working in crossfunctional project environments.
- Technical understanding of equipment, machinery, and industrial systems.
- Analytical mindset with strong financial and TCO modelling skills.
- Project leadership and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking combined with handson execution.
Om prosessen:
The assignment is full-time starting in September and is expected to last for 9–12 months.
