Interim HSE Director
Interim Search has been entrusted with appointing an interim HSE Director for a larger international company.
As HSE Director you will play a key role in integrating health, safety, and environmental practices into our customers operations and strategy. You will work within a global organization and report to the VP QHSE and lead a team of 5 direct reports with functional responsibility for approx. 20 colleagues. The position is based in Sweden and includes around 10% travel to attend HSE councils and visit sister facilities.
Sentrale ansvarsområder:
- Oversee health, safety, and environmental performance across the company´s entire manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance and guiding cultural change.
- Collaborate with multiple functions, from engineering and production to quality and supply chain, to integrate HSE into all aspects of the company´s processes.
- Reduce the frequency of lost-time accidents and improve near-miss reporting.
- Ensure compliance with local safety regulations.
- Minimize the environmental footprint through waste, emissions, and energy initiatives.
- Conduct risk assessments and emergency drills.
- Establish a safe system of work.
- Implement cultural programs.
For å være relevant for rollen:
- Extensive leadership experience and project management skills in promoting HSE culture practices within an international manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels. You thrive in environments that evolve over time, are open to new developments, and tackle challenges with a structured mindset and a solution-oriented attitude.
- Experience with risk assessments and machinery risk assessments.
- Auditor certification for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Knowledge of RCA tools (Root Cause Analysis).
- An engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification in HSE legislation.
- Fluency in English and Swedish.
Om prosessen:
The assignment is full-time starting in September and is expected to last for 6-9 months.
We will present candidates on September 1st and client interviews will be held in connection with it.
