Interim Strategic Purchaser
Interim Search has been commissioned to appoint an Interim Strategic Buyer for a major international manufacturing company.
The position is located at the company's production facility in Northern Sweden. Possibility of weekly commuting is available. In the role, you will be part of the Purchasing department consisting of 6-8 employees. You will be involved from the early development phase, through the entire product life cycle, to the sale of aftermarket products.
Main duties:
- Work on all the different elements of the purchasing process, including: fact-finding, requests for quotations, negotiations, supplier selection and development of supplier relationships.
- Contribute to the development of the organization and work towards streamlining processes and the overall procurement strategy. This includes identifying and managing supplier risks, negotiating contracts and ensuring that the procurement process is cost-effective and sustainable.
- Work closely with other functions within the company, as well as with external supplier contacts.
- Reporting to the Head of Purchasing.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience working in a similar role as a Strategic Buyer and broad experience in both product and service purchasing.
- A relevant university or college degree.
- Worked in the manufacturing industry before.
- Good negotiation experience and knowledge of commercial law.
- A structured, communicative and results-oriented personality.
- Working in an international environment is an advantage.
About the process
The assignment will start as soon as possible, is full-time and is expected to last 6 months. The position is located in Northern Sweden, possibility of weekly commuting is available.
