Interim Senior Project Manager
Interim Search is looking for a senior and operational project manager for a large, public industrial group in a historic journey of change. The company is moving from a decentralized structure to a centralized global model and now needs to strengthen the organization to execute the build-up of a new global service organization.
In the role of Interim Project Manager, you will lead the work of offshoring transactional activities to a newly established global hub in a low-wage country. The strategy and framework for the project is already in place; your job is about pure execution, structuring and driving the change to completion. The role is highly operational and requires someone who enjoys being the "spider in the web" and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and perform practical parts of the project to ensure progress.
Main duties:
- You are responsible for the execution of moving transactional processes to a new global hub.
- You structure the work and manage project members who work in parallel in the daily operations.
- You implement and adapt existing plans (“blue prints”) in a decentralized to ensure an effective transition to the new global and centralized model.
- You will identify bottlenecks and take operational measures to reach set targets for volume and staffing in the hub by the end of the year.
- You lead the change journey by navigating an organization moving from decentralized to centralized, with a focus on harmonized ways of working.
- You will report progress and risks on an ongoing basis to senior management within the division.
To be eligible for the role:
- You are a very senior project manager with proven experience in major change journeys and change management.
- You have proven practical experience in offshoring and building Shared Service Centers in an international environment.
- You have a unique combination of being strategically confident and at the same time an unpretentious “doer” who is prepared to enter the project operationally when required.
- You have the ability to take mandates, drive issues independently and create structure even where internal resources are limited.
- You have experience in large, well-established or public companies with complex matrix structures.
- You communicate professionally in both Swedish and English.
About the process
The assignment is for 12 months full time with immediate start. The work is based in Stockholm but involves travel both within and outside the EU. We present candidates to the customer on 11/5 and customer interviews take place on 12/5.
