Interim Head of Flow
Interim Search has been entrusted with filling the position of interim Head of Flow for a global, market-leading industrial company. The organization currently has a vacancy, and during the recruitment period, there is a need for an experienced leader who can step in and ensure business continuity. In this role, you will serve as a key employer representative, responsible for approximately 40 employees (both unionized and non-unionized) in a stable team. Your main focus will be on maintaining volumes, deliveries, and high operational standards according to plan, while ensuring stability and security within the team.
Main duties:
- Ensure that the production flow meets established targets for safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and staff the production flow based on the current production plan and volume requirements.
- Manage and assign work, handle time reporting, time off, and overtime, and, when necessary, lead union negotiations and rehabilitation efforts within your area of responsibility.
- Conduct proactive, systematic, and preventive occupational health and safety work in accordance with the applicable delegation of authority for occupational health and safety.
- Be responsible for the cost center associated with the workflow, which includes making purchases within the budget, approving invoices, and continuously monitoring costs.
- Collaborate with and set requirements for internal support functions (such as planning, purchasing, maintenance, and technology) and maintain close communication with external contacts, such as global planning, carriers, and order offices.
To be eligible for the role:
- You have a solid knowledge and understanding of the principles and methods used in the process, manufacturing, or logistics industries, as well as experience leading in similar environments.
- You are a business- and people-oriented leader with experience in change management and a coaching leadership style in which feedback is a natural tool.
- You have a basic understanding of labor law (LAS, AML, MBL) as well as experience working with collective bargaining agreements in the industrial sector and labor-management cooperation.
- You are cost-conscious, have a strong understanding of finance, and are able to use IT systems as tools to manage and develop the business.
- You have a strong sense of integrity, good self-awareness, and excellent communication skills. You adapt your communication style to the situation, are clear and consistent, and are adept at getting things done together with your team.
