Interim Chef Lab
Interim Search has been entrusted to appoint a Manager Lab to a leading player in the food industry in an exciting development phase with a location in Umeå. The role involves overall responsibility for laboratory operations at two production units, which entails travel in the service. The assignment aims to lead and develop the laboratory operations to ensure the highest quality and food safety. You contribute to efficient processes and continuous improvement work where you report directly to the Quality Manager.
Main duties:
- Managing, allocating and coordinating laboratory resources in the relevant units.
- Ensure timely and reliable analysis for the business.
- Develop and implement new procedures, methods and control systems.
- Participate actively in improvement work, projects and investigations related to quality and food safety.
- Ensure compliance with certifications such as FSSC 22000, ISO 14001 and KRAV.
- Responsible for control methods for new products in cooperation with laboratory coordinators.
To be eligible for the role:
- Relevant college or university degree in chemistry, biology, microbiology or biomedical analysis.
- Previous management experience with the ability to engage and develop teams.
- Experience in laboratory work and knowledge in chemistry, biology or microbiology.
- Good communication skills and used to working with different parts of an organization.
- Possession of a B driving license for travel between sites.
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

About the process
The assignment starts immediately and covers 100% and extends over about 11 months. The deadline for applications is 5/5 and interviews with the customer will take place in connection with that.
