Interim Chief Executive Officer
Interim Search has been entrusted with appointing an interim CEO for a retail and distribution company in Götaland.
The company is undergoing a period of intense change and is now seeking a confident, decisive, and business-driven leader who, on behalf of the owners, will carry out a clear turnaround. The role involves taking a holistic approach to the business, stabilizing operations, establishing structure, and ensuring profitable and sustainable growth.
This is a role for someone who enjoys strategic decision-making in a fast-paced environment and who values close, informal collaboration with the board and owners.
Main duties:
- Be responsible for the company's strategy, profitability, and day-to-day operations.
- Lead, stabilize, and develop the organization, and ensure an effective and robust structure throughout the transformation process.
- Ensure strict compliance with regulations and proactively protect the company's assets and values.
- Drive and optimize the company's continued development and commercial growth.
- Report directly to the board of directors and serve as the primary, trust-building link between the owners, the board, and senior management.
To be eligible for the role:
- Documented and successful experience as CEO of a medium-sized company, or in an equivalent role with full P&L responsibility at a larger company.
- Documented experience leading change and turnaround initiatives.
- Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments and acting as a bridge between different interests.
- Confident, solution-oriented, and business-savvy leadership, with a proven ability to make well-considered decisions even in challenging situations.
- Experience working closely with the board and owners in a transparent and trusting manner.
- Experience in international distribution, B2B commerce, or other supply chain-intensive operations.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
About the process
The assignment is for 100 % and is expected to last approximately 12 months, starting in early August. This is a hybrid role in which you are expected to work on-site three days a week at the company’s office in Götaland. Candidates will be presented on July 27, followed by interviews with the client on July 28 and 29.
