Interim Accounting Manager
Interim Search has been commissioned to recruit an interim Chief Accounting Officer for Gränges in Finspång. The company has annual revenue of 3 billion SEK from its Swedish operations.
The overall responsibilities of the position are to lead the work within the accounting department, ensure that the company’s financial statements provide a true and fair view of the company’s profitability and financial position, and ensure satisfactory internal controls and compliance with laws and established practices within the area of responsibility. More specifically, this involves:
- Responsibility for managing liquidity (payments, borrowing, etc.) and liaising with the bank and Group Treasury
- Responsibility for tax matters, including administration, reporting, and compliance (income taxes, VAT, excise taxes, etc.)
- Preparation of the company's annual report and income tax return
- Responsibility for planning and preparing monthly and annual financial statements, as well as reporting to the Executive Board
- Responsibility for coordinating and following up on external and internal audits, as well as ensuring effective internal controls in all processes
- Responsibility for the management and development of the department's IT applications
- Responsibility for liaising with and reporting to HK regarding the financial administration of corporate insurance policies
- Responsibility for currency hedges (excluding LME) vis-à-vis Group Treasury
To be considered for this position, you must hold a degree in business administration or the equivalent, with several years of experience in a related field. You possess strong leadership skills, solid IT knowledge, are fluent in both spoken and written Swedish and English, and have a proven ability to collaborate effectively. The position reports to the company’s Chief Financial and IT Officer, and the assignment is for 6 months with the possibility of extension. Weekly commuting is possible, and some remote work may be accepted.
