Interim Operations Manager
Interim Search has been commissioned to recruit an Interim Operations Manager for a well-established transportation company with operations in the Nordic region. The role involves overall responsibility for day-to-day operations, with a focus on establishing structure, developing processes, and ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality operations.
Main duties:
• Lead and develop the day-to-day operations involving drivers, vehicles, and terminal operations.
• Be responsible for personnel management, staffing, scheduling, and professional development.
• Ensure that operations meet customer requirements, quality objectives, and agreed-upon service levels.
• Develop and implement procedures, processes, and work methods to ensure more efficient operations.
• Monitor key performance indicators, costs, productivity, and results, and report to management.
• Actively work to foster cohesion, engagement, and a well-functioning team.
To be eligible for the role:
• Several years of experience in operations, transportation, or logistics.
• Documented leadership experience with personnel responsibility.
• A good understanding of labor laws, workplace safety, regulations, and, preferably, collective bargaining agreements
• Experience in planning, resource optimization, and operational management.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budget and cost monitoring.
• Experience in developing processes and procedures, as well as establishing structure and driving change.
