Interim Planning Manager
Interim Search has been entrusted with the appointment of an analytical and driving Planning Manager to a large-scale business with complex logistics flows. The role is the hub of the organization's operational planning and combines qualified resource optimization with a close and coaching leadership for the planning and support team.
Main duties:
- Staff responsibilities: Managing, engaging and developing a team of around 15 staff in planning and production support.
- Operational resource planning: Responsible for rolling scheduling and capacity planning on both short and long term (8-week horizon) for the whole site.
- Production management: Ensure daily balance between inputs and outputs, and quickly reallocate resources in case of deviations, machine stops or changes in volume forecasts.
- Process Development (S&OP): Own and refine standardized ways of working to synchronize sales and operations planning and increase precision in cross-functional flow.
- External collaboration: Act as the main point of contact with external staffing partners and ensure the right supply of skills based on the needs of the business.
- Analysis & Follow-up: Drive and develop decision support in Excel and Power BI to optimize productivity and delivery performance.
To be eligible for the role:
- Management experience: Proven experience in staff management and ability to lead and prioritize the work of a team in an operational environment.
- Analytical expertise: experience in advanced production or logistics planning in complex operations with high data volume.
- Strong in systems: very good knowledge of Excel and Power BI, with the ability to quickly translate data into concrete operational plans.
- Communicative leadership: being able to communicate clearly with both operations and your own group in order to have an impact on planned activities.
- Problem-solving skills: used to making quick decisions in a fast-paced environment where conditions can change at short notice.
- An understanding of high-volume flows and the challenges associated with seasonality is an advantage.
About the process:
The assignment is full-time, starting in April/May and is expected to last approximately 6 months. The assignment is carried out on site in central Sweden (3-4 days/week).
