How would your loved ones describe you as a person?
Committed, stubborn and wise.
Tell us about a passion you have.
I have recently taken up riding again and love hanging out at the stables. Riding is the best leadership course both in terms of oneself and others. In fact, there are several similarities between riding and my job as a recruitment consultant. Just like successful assignments, you need to quickly and confidently establish a mutual cooperation to make it a great ride.
What does a perfect Sunday look like?
Then I cycle out to the stable in good time before the ride and prepare the horse in peace and quiet. It can be a different horse you ride every time, which means that you need to adjust, get to know and be responsive to the day's match. It will always be a varied ride, from riding full speed through the forest to calmer stretches among people and cars. All the senses need to be engaged in order to parry everything that happens, while creating an exchange with the horse and the group in the moment. Trail riding is like an active meditation.
When was the last time you tried something new?
I'm trying the golf thing, but unfortunately it's not going well
Tell us about someone you look up to.
There is no specific person I admire, but I appreciate humane people who have dealt with both adversity and wind with humility and drive and who have learned the art of influencing what you can, accepting the rest and realizing the difference.
What keeps you motivated?
Setting long-term goals and doing meaningful and fun things in the short term. And trying to be the best mom to my teenagers - even if that apparently includes feeling like the hardest mom at times.
What is the most beautiful place you know?
The Amalfi Coast in southern Italy with Sorrento, Positano and Ravello. There are also great places around the Bay of Naples with the islands of Ischia, Procida and Capri. This makes it well worth returning to favorite places while discovering new ones. And the food is absolutely magical!
What would you like to have more time for?
Catch sunsets and someday get a puppy.
