Consultant insurance is developed together with specialists and adapted to the needs we have identified after years in the interim industry for people working on temporary line assignments. It is a comprehensive policy that includes GDPR protection.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force in spring 2018, and for many people it is still difficult to know exactly what applies to the handling of personal data. The GDPR means stricter requirements for how you store and handle information about people, and those who do not meet the requirements risk being fined millions of dollars. As an interim or management consultant, you can now insure yourself with a unique liability insurance policy that includes GDPR protection. The liability insurance covers you for any damage you may cause while on a consulting assignment. With GDPR protection, you are insured if you improperly disseminate personal information during an assignment - for example, how you stored personal information for a client contact. Should this result in you being charged for not meeting the requirements of the GDPR, this is covered by your liability insurance. GDPR protection will compensate you for any damages you are required to pay.
The liability insurance with included GDPR protection amounts to SEK 20 million in sum insured per claim event twice a year - a total of SEK 40 million. This is double the amount compared to standard insurance.
