Interim Chief Financial Officer

Simon is an international student who came to Sweden in the late 1990s, when he was offered the position of chief financial officer at a Swedish automaker, reporting directly to tothe Group’s CFO. By then, he had already established a career in finance in the U.S. and the U.K., working for a major accounting firm, as a controller at a fast-growing technology company that supplied the automotive industry, and as a project manager in the finance department of an international engineering firm, where he was tasked with improving their invoicing processes. In Sweden, his career gained further momentum, and he soon became responsible for evaluating new production lines from a financial perspective. That role is comparable to that of a senior business controller who reports directly to to the Group's CFO. He was poached to an international component manufacturer, where he grew his business unit from 3 BSEK over the course of five years to 7 BSEK. He then wanted to take overall responsibility for the finance function and was given that opportunity in 2011 as Group CFO for an international industrial company with operations in 35 countries. He has now decided to take the next step and embark on a new career as an interim manager.
