Tom set up his limited company and started hiring himself out as an interim consultant earlier this year. He has already completed his first successful assignment at a venture capital-owned medium-sized company. He was hired by the company for seven months and worked overall on process improvements and developing tools to analyze key performance indicators. Prior to becoming an interim consultant, Tom had held controller roles in many companies and groups. He has, among other things, been Group Controller at a listed manufacturing company where he worked with profitability and efficiency analysis, consolidated budget work within the group and significantly improved the finance department's processes. He also implemented a new BI tool. After six years with the company, he was recruited to another group with global operations. Also in that role, Tom analyzed productivity, developed the budget process and other financial procedures. He also developed a proprietary time reporting system and identified and drove improvements in the existing business systems.
Tom is a technically savvy and process-oriented consultant. He is good at analysis, driving improvement and developing procedures.
