Interim Logistics Manager

Marcus is an engineer by background and spent his first six years working as a system owner and product owner for a listed technology company, before being over-recruited by a security company to be responsible for their product development. This role also included evaluating suppliers, renegotiating contracts and improving the purchasing process in nine of the company's geographical markets. He was then given the mandate to set up his own company within the group and develop the business towards the consumer market, which included building customer support, putting infrastructure in place and driving sales. After five years, he had built a profitable business and recruited 75 employees and was ready to move on. He was recruited internally as Logistics Manager and given total responsibility for the company's logistics organization where he initiated and drove through a comprehensive efficiency program that resulted in multi-million savings for the group. Four years ago, he decided to become an interim consultant and has since been hired by seven clients.
