Interim Senior Purchaser
Interim Search is now looking for a business-driven and operationally strong Senior Buyer for a world-leading industrial company. The business combines advanced technological development with a modern production apparatus and is in an exciting phase where the purchasing function is being developed to meet future requirements for sustainability and efficiency.
Our client is part of a global group where the local company in northern Sweden has a clear mandate and short decision paths. Here you get a key role in a committed team where the collaboration between production, logistics and global purchasing functions is in focus.
The role reports to the Plant Manager. The assignment aims to ensure continuity and momentum during a period of organizational change and parental leave, with a focus on translating strategic goals into operational reality.
Main duties:

You drive and develop supplier strategies that ensure competitiveness and robust supply.

You will be responsible for the operational and tactical purchasing of specific product categories.

You lead negotiations and proactively identify new supplier options, both locally and globally.

You will act as a requirements manager in cross-functional projects and work closely with production, R&D and the group's Commodity Managers in Europe.

You analyze cost structures and drive risk mitigation and process efficiency initiatives.

You work actively in the Movex ERP system to ensure data quality and efficient flows.
To be eligible for the role:

You have an academic degree in business, engineering or equivalent.

You have solid experience in strategic and operational purchasing in the manufacturing industry.

You are a skilled negotiator who enjoys “rolling up your sleeves” and working closely with the business.

You have strong self-leadership and the ability to navigate in an international environment with English as the corporate language.

You are familiar with complex business systems (experience with Movex/M3 is highly advantageous).

As a person, you are unpretentious, analytical and have a genuine drive to deliver results.
About the process
The assignment is full-time and is expected to last approximately 18 months starting before the summer, as soon as possible to enable a good handover. The work is primarily performed on site at the customer in Västerbotten, with some flexibility for remote work. We will present candidates to the client on Monday, May 11 and interviews will take place in close connection with this.
