Interim Strategic Buyer - Operational focus
Interim Search has been entrusted to appoint a Strategic Buyer to an expansive international company in Facility Management (FM) with a strong focus on sustainability. The company is in an intensive development phase with a focus on efficiency and business management.
This is a role for someone who wants to combine strategic thinking with operational implementation in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. This is a hands-on role close to operations where you will be expected to work operationally throughout the purchasing process. In this role, you will have a central position and work closely with both the business and suppliers to drive the purchasing work forward and create businesslike, sustainable solutions. You will have a direct impact on business and results and become a key player in a critical phase.

Main duties:
- Drive and execute business-critical procurements and develop an efficient and sustainable supplier base
- Responsible for category management, spend analysis and follow-up to optimize cost and value
- Act as a strategic partner to the business and contribute to increased business value
- Streamline and develop purchasing processes with a focus on structure, quality and profitability
- Ensure compliance with contracts, laws and industry requirements
- Actively contribute to the company's sustainability agenda through strategic purchasing decisions
- Drive change and exercise indirect leadership in a complex organization
To be eligible for the role:
Has at least 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing in a business-related role
- Have worked in complex environments, preferably in construction, engineering, installation or Facility Management (FM)
- Has experience in construction law and working with commercial contracts
- Is analytically strong and used to working data-driven, with very good knowledge of Excel (spend, follow-up)
- Has worked closely with operations and understands the needs of the business
- Experience in independently running the entire purchasing process - from analysis and procurement to implementation and follow-up
- Used to working in organizations with large and complex supplier base
- Combines strategic height with an operational, hands-on approach
- Has a proven ability to drive change and influence without formal staff responsibility
Meritorious:
- Experience in category management and supplier relationship management (SRM)
- Experience in contract procurement
- Experience in project management or change management
- Experience in supply chain sustainability work
- Experience with ERP or purchasing systems
This is a full-time assignment with immediate start and an initial duration of approximately six months. Selection is ongoing with the ambition to present candidates to the client on April 9, followed by interviews in close connection.
