Interim Site Manager

As a site manager, you play a key role, with overall responsibility for one large or several smaller concrete construction projects—typically concrete repairs—from start to handover. You are responsible for ensuring that the workforce is efficient and that the project(s) are managed in such a way that set goals are achieved and the customer’s expectations are met—and hopefully even exceeded. You play a key role in developing relationships with clients and their on-site staff, which can often lead to new business.

• Planning and Execution of Production
• On-site KMA work
• Project Finances
• You'll have a number of talented colleagues to help you, ranging from estimators and supervisors to skilled tradespeople.
• This broad scope of responsibility requires that you have the ability to see the big picture and stay one step ahead at every stage of the projects.

To be eligible for the role, you have:

• Post-secondary education in construction engineering or equivalent through extensive industry experience
• Certification courses—e.g., hot work, BAM, Bas U, Bas P
• Work in Public Areas / Road Work
• Knowledge of AMA/MER Construction
• Knowledge of Construction Law
• Experience with spreadsheet software, such as MAP
• Experience with safety and security regulations
• Concrete Class 1
• At least 15 years of experience in concrete work in a supervisory role, including at least 5 years as a site manager.

About the process:

This is a full-time assignment lasting approximately 9 months, with the possibility of a permanent position during or after the assignment period.
