Interim Head of Medical Affairs
Interim Search has been asked to appoint an interim Head of Medical Affairs for a pharmaceutical company in Stockholm.
Responsibilities:
- Providing accurate clinical and technical information about services or products.
- Contributing to new product development and launches, and approving promotional activities in accordance with the relevant Code of Practice
- Contributing to or providing medical review or approval of promotional materials for scientific meetings, symposia, and other medical education activities, in accordance with applicable codes of practice and regulations
- Assisting in the development of new claims for key brands
- Partnering and collaborating with internal departments as appropriate
- Assisting in the defense of key claims when challenged by competitor companies
- Challenging competitor advertising as appropriate
- Assist in drafting and revising SPCs (Summary of Product Characteristics), PILs (Patient Information Leaflets), and label information
- Staying up to date on regulatory changes and processes
Required skills and experience:
- Normally a licensed physician or someone with a PhD in life sciences or a medical degree
- 2–5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Relevant knowledge in the therapeutic areas
- Management experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Good knowledge of healthcare/the NHS
- A high level of knowledge of the regulatory environment, including key regulatory agencies and approval processes
