Interim Search has been commissioned to appoint an interim Finance Manager for a start-up Swedish retail company with offices in Stockholm. The responsibility includes building structure for further expansion, staff responsibility and a place in the management team. The company is started and run by successful entrepreneurs.
In the role of interim Finance Manager, you will build the finance function for a global expansion through e-commerce, distributors, stores and retail chains in Sweden and abroad. Responsibilities include structuring accounting and production of monthly/annual accounts, as well as follow-up and analysis. The team includes an accountant and accounts receivable/accounts payable manager.
Responsibilities in the role of Interim Finance Manager:
- Ultimate responsibility for the company's financial function
- Establish procedures and processes for all financial management at the Swedish company
- Responsibility for setting up procedures and coordinating financial work with external accounting firms abroad
- Drive the development of the system set-up in Navision
- Responsible for consolidated monthly and annual accounts
- Responsible for forecasting and monitoring the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow
- Ensure reporting and payment of taxes, pensions and statistics
- Contact with auditors, tax authorities and other external bodies
- HR administration (payroll is outsourced)
- Administration of contracts (customers, suppliers, staff)
- Responsible for the office through its Office Manager
To be eligible for the assignment:
- Master of Science in Economics or equivalent
- At least 7-10 years of experience in a management role in finance
- Experience from building a finance function from scratch, preferably in a fast growing business
- Very good accounting skills are a requirement
- Very good and deep system knowledge, preferably from Navision
- Preferably international experience, with foreign companies
- Experience in leading improvement projects
- Thrives on working very hands-on, while having the ability to plan ahead
- If you have worked in retail, FMCG or similar, this is an advantage
- High working capacity
- Prestigious, strong leadership qualities and good communication skills
