Interim Head of Department
Interim Search has been entrusted with the task of appointing an Interim Department Head for one of our clients in the retail sector.
In the role of Interim Department Head, you will be responsible for a team of approximately 20–25 people. Our client is in the midst of a reorganization, and you need to be a confident leader who is accustomed to managing operations and skilled in resource and forecast planning. The assignment is initially for 6 months with a good chance of extension; you are expected to be on-site 100% and will report to the Regional Manager.
Main duties:
- Operational governance: Manage the day-to-day operations of the department and ensure a high quality of service.
- Resource and Forecast Planning: Analyze resource needs, make forecasts, and optimize staffing levels to close today's efficiency gap.
- Change management: Lead the department through an ongoing reorganization.
- Cultural transformation: Foster engagement, motivation, and a culture where employees want to follow your leadership.
To be eligible for the role:
- Documented experience in operational management within warehousing, logistics, or production.
- Strong expertise in resource planning, forecasting, and resource optimization.
- Experience managing large teams (20+ employees) and holding leadership roles.
- Experience with change management and reorganizations.
- Experience in e-commerce is considered a strong asset.
