Interim Data Protection Officer
Interim Search has been commissioned to appoint an Interim Data Protection Officer for the IS/IT department at AFA Insurance. The focus of the assignment is, on the one hand, to continue the work related to the GDPR and, on the other hand, to serve as part of the leadership team for the Data Protection & Monitoring department.
This role is part of the Data Protection & Monitoring department, which is also responsible for controlling, quality management systems, information management, and support for risk owners. You will report to the department head. You will primarily work on coordinating and carrying out activities related to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the handling of personal data. Your main responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and conduct information-gathering activities
- Updating Registry Lists
- Conduct studies and participate in impact assessments
- Support the department head in managing the department
- Coordinator for Registry Extracts and Other Rights of Data Subjects
- Educational Initiatives
- Support in Drafting Contracts
- Provide guidance to other managers and employees on GDPR-related issues
- Answer customer questions
To be considered for this position, you should have at least 10 years of experience in a leadership role and a solid understanding of the GDPR and its implications. You enjoy keeping things organized, are structured and patient, and can effectively implement new work methods and processes. Experience in the insurance industry or other regulated sectors is a plus.
