Interim Chief Financial Officer
Interim Search has been entrusted with the appointment of an interim CFO for a manufacturing company in FMCG located in Södertälje municipality. The company has a turnover of approximately 220 million and has about 60 employees. The assignment aims to lead to a permanent position.
Main duties:
- Ensuring accurate day-to-day accounting and the preparation of monthly and annual accounts.
- Drive and analyze the budget and forecasting work to manage the business.
- Be able to break down results, identify anomalies and conduct root cause analysis.
- Ensure tax, VAT and regulatory compliance.
- Explain complex economic relationships to non-economists in the organization.
- Contribute to strategic decisions with an economic perspective and manage rapid changes and unexpected deviations.
- Drive digitization and optimize financial processes with existing systems.
- Managing relationships and negotiating with external parties such as banks and auditors.
- Work both operationally and strategically to build and monitor budgets and forecasts.
- Manage and develop the finance department and be part of the management team.
To be eligible for the role:
- Proven experience in day-to-day accounting, monthly and annual accounts.
- Experience with manufacturing companies, cost drivers, production flows and inventory management (preferably in FMCG).
- Good knowledge of financial systems and BI tools (e.g. Dynamics 365 BC, Visma) as well as reporting and analysis tools.
- Leadership experience, communication skills, business acumen, structured and thorough.
- Experience with bank contacts, auditors and external parties.
- Digital understanding - interest in automation, digitization of finance function and streamlining.
- Integrity and trustworthiness - high ethical standards and ability to build trust.
- Swedish and English, spoken and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills and enjoys working in teams.
- Experience working with stock accounting, including managing stock differences, inventories and analyzing discrepancies.
- Experience in the procurement of business systems is an advantage.
About the process:
The assignment is part-time 75-80% and is expected to start in October. The assignment will be on site 2-3 days a week. The duration of the assignment is estimated at 6 months and should lead to a permanent position.
