Interim CEO
Interim Search has been entrusted with the task of appointing a business-oriented and decisive Interim CEO for a well-established manufacturing company. The company has annual revenue of approximately 300 MSEK and employs around 100 people. The business is undergoing a significant period of change, with a focus on driving commercial growth, increasing profitability, and modernizing the production structure to achieve greater flexibility.
The role reports to the board of directors and entails full responsibility for financial results and personnel. We are seeking an experienced, confident, and decisive business leader with a strong commercial drive and a clear sense of initiative. You are a consummate businessperson who understands how to generate profitability, while also possessing the perseverance and decisiveness required to drive strategic and operational initiatives to fruition. Furthermore, you have a good understanding of the dynamics of the manufacturing industry and the challenges associated with production.
For the right person, there are also good opportunities for permanent employment after the interim period.
Main duties:
- You will take overall responsibility for the company's performance and profitability, demonstrating strong and proactive leadership in sales, marketing, and business development.
- You set the direction, take a firm stand, and implement the necessary operational changes in production to consolidate production flows and create a more flexible manufacturing process.
- You lead and inspire the entire organization with a hands-on, decisive, and steadfast leadership style that keeps employees on board even in the face of internal resistance.
- You quickly familiarize yourself with all aspects of the company, optimize the business model, and ensure healthy margins in every transaction.
- You will report to and work closely with the board on both strategic and operational matters.
To be eligible for the role:

You have proven experience as a CEO. You are a seasoned and experienced business leader with a proven track record from a previous role as CEO, with full P&L and personnel responsibility..

You have a solid background in the manufacturing/engineering industry and understand production logic, workflows, and operational challenges.

You have strong sales and business acumen and are a true businessperson who understands how to make money, is passionate about sales, and knows how to close profitable deals.

You are a dynamic change leader with strong drive, a clear vision, and a thick skin. You don't shy away from conflict; rather, you have the stamina and ability to stand your ground and carry out decisions.

You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
About the process
The position is full-time and is expected to last 9 months, starting immediately or as agreed. The position is based in Blekinge County (weekly commuting is possible, but applicants from the local area will be given priority). For the right candidate, there is a good chance of transitioning to a permanent position after the interim period. We will present candidates to the client on Tuesday, October 20, and interviews with the client will take place on Wednesday, October 21.
