“You don’t need to have your request fully formulated before you get in touch.”
Anna Alenryd has joined Interim Search as a manager and will be the third employee at the Malmö office. She most recently worked at Meritmind, where she was a consulting manager.
Already during the first week, the entire organization gathered for a conference, which gave Anna an early glimpse into the company.
“Very professional and maintains a high standard in every aspect. But there’s also a warm and welcoming atmosphere,”, says Anna.
The conference also gave her a sense of what is expected in everyday life and how that relates to quality.
“It’s clear that the pace here is fast, but it’s combined with quality and stability. The culture feels inclusive, open, and transparent. And it feels important that we have fun.”
“I’m expanding the team by 50 percent”
The Malmö office has consisted of two people so far. With Anna joining, there will be three.
“I’m so happy for our team here in Malmö, which I’m now expanding by 50 percent. Patrik and Martin are incredibly experienced and skilled, and it feels like a privilege to work with them every day.”
Joining a team where both colleagues have extensive experience may sound like a high hurdle. Anna sees it quite the opposite, though.
“No matter how experienced you are, a new colleague always brings their own experiences and fresh perspectives. I hope to be able to contribute that.”
A market where everyone knows everyone
After years as a consulting manager in the region, Anna has a clear understanding of how the interim staffing market in Skåne works and how it differs from other parts of the country.
“In my experience, it’s mainly about interim roles in the finance sector. The market there is pretty small—everyone knows everyone, and it’s the same people who switch back and forth between being clients and candidates. That has its pros and cons. Mostly pros, I’d say.”
At the same time, our assignments don’t stop at the county line. Interim Search places consultants throughout Sweden, and the Malmö team works with clients nationwide—our proximity to the Skåne market is an added benefit, not a limitation.

Sometimes the assignments extend beyond Sweden—Anna’s colleague Martin Edqvist recently filled a position in the U.S. Knowledge of the Skåne market is there when needed, but it doesn’t determine which assignments the team takes on.
The fact that the market is small and relationships are long-standing also shapes how she wants customers to view the team. She repeatedly emphasizes that it should be possible to get in touch early on, long before everything has been figured out.
“I want customers to feel that they can reach out to us right away. They don’t need to wait until they’ve fully articulated their needs and have a completely clear picture of them. We’re here to bounce ideas off of, and we can draw on both our own experiences and the collective experience of all our other customers to share with them.”
Interim: Major Change in a Short Period of Time
For Anna, the fact that it turned out to be an interim assignment comes down to what a consultant can actually accomplish during the time the assignment lasts.
“A consultant can bring about enormous change in an organization in a short period of time. The consultant can move the organization, department, or project from one state to another, thereby enabling current and future employees to perform at a higher level. Perhaps the company hasn’t been able to get there on its own due to a lack of expertise, experience, or time. Consultants also typically bring with them experience from significantly more companies and industries than regular employees do.”
Her path to Interim Search, in particular, came through her own network, where she had been hearing the same thing from several sources for quite some time.
“I heard from more and more people in my network who were very satisfied with their collaboration with Interim Search.”
One of the company's clearest promises is that candidates can be presented in as little as 48 hours. She saw it one way from the outside, and another once she joined the company.
“Before I started, I thought 48 hours sounded like a very short time.
