Interim Supply Chain Director
Interim Search AB has been commissioned to find an interim Supply Chain Director for a high-growth industrial group currently undergoing an extensive strategic transformation.
You report to COO.
Main tasks:
- Supply Chain Strategy & Network Architecture
- Define and own the Group’s group supply chain strategy, covering network architecture, transport partner strategy, warehouse footprint, and logistics technology roadmap.
- Act as the primary logistics resource and subject matter expert for the Group’s local companies.
- Identify and drive initiatives related to sustainability and risk management within the supply chain.
- Design and implement the distribution infrastructure for Group’s e-commerce marketplace channels.
- Customs Operations & Regulatory Compliance
- Work with multiple internal teams to build and oversee a Customs Organization functioning for the whole group.
- Customs clearance of goods from Norway to the EU
- Setting up consolidated freight operations with customs clearance from the EU.
- Understanding and establishing a customs clearance organisation for one of our subsidiaries, including licence applications.
- Transport carrier partnerships & Freight Management
- Freight agreements – creating manual freight matrices.
- Identify, evaluate and negotiate agreements with new and existing transport partners in all active European markets.
- Establish cost-effective and scalable main transport routes between heavy-haul hubs within our network.
- Set service level standards and monitor carrier performance across the entire network.
To be relevant for the role:
- You have a proven track record negotiating transport partner agreements at European or multi-country scale.
- You have hands-on experience from international aftermarket logistics
- You have deep experience in international trade (import/export) with specific expertise in customs clearance from Norway to the EU
- You have a demonstrated ability to design and implement distribution networks for high-volume e-commerce platforms.
- You are comfortable operating as an individual contributor with influence across a decentralised organisation.
- You possess a “builder” mentality; as there is currently no existing organization or specialist team in this area, you will be the Group’s dedicated Subject Matter Expert.
- You possess strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align local and central entities around group-wide improvements within a complex matrix organization.
- You are data-driven and commercially minded, with a deep understanding of the relationship between logistics costs, service levels, and customer satisfaction.
- You are fluent in English and Swedish.
- You are comfortable with frequent travel across Europe.
About the process:
