Interim Senior Program Director
Interim Search has been entrusted with recruiting an interim Senior Program Director for a major investment initiative in southern Sweden. In this role, you will be responsible for a portfolio of large and complex construction projects. Working with senior project managers, you will ensure that the projects are executed in accordance with established goals for safety, quality, schedule, and cost. The role involves close collaboration with internal decision-makers, consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure effective management and progress throughout the entire project lifecycle.
This role is part of our client’s ”owners team,” which means you must be completely independent of consulting firms and contractors who may be considered for assignments.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for most major construction projects
- Lead and support a project management team consisting of senior project managers
- Ensure governance, coordination, and progress throughout the entire project lifecycle
- Manage complex interfaces between technology, contractors, and consultants
- Be responsible for risk management, reporting, budgeting, and resource planning
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements
- Build strong teams and create the conditions for high performance
To be eligible for the role
- Experience leading investment and construction projects in the billion-class
- At least 15 years of experience in leadership roles within complex construction projects
- Experience leading large organizations
- Experience in high-tech, safety-critical environments
- Strong expertise in project management, contracts, finance, and risk management
- Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical academic degree
