Interim Internal Finance Controller
Interim Search has been entrusted with the task of filling an interim Internal Finance Controller position at a global technology company. The company has annual revenue of 18 billion and 3,000 employees based in Västerås.
Main duties:
- Be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of internal control systems in accordance with the company's group standards.
- Support the planning and implementation of SOX 404 controls, including testing and monitoring of internal control activities.
- Identify and follow up on internal control deficiencies, analyze root causes, and implement sustainable action plans.
- Develop and deliver digital training packages on internal control to strengthen the expertise of process and control owners.
- Support the teams with year-end closing and related internal control activities.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s Code of Conduct, values, and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) principles in all work.
To be eligible for the role:
- Several years of relevant experience in auditing, management accounting, accounting, or internal financial control.
- In-depth understanding of and experience in implementing, maintaining, and improving internal control systems.
- Excellent expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Extensive experience working with the SAP business system.
- Experience with internal controls in some form.
- Process knowledge in order processing or purchasing.
About the process:
The assignment is equivalent to approximately 75% of a full-time position and may vary depending on how the assignment progresses over time. The assignment is expected to begin after the turn of the year and is estimated to last approximately 4–6 months. A large portion of the work can be performed remotely.
