Interim Quality Manager
Interim Search has been commissioned to recruit a Quality Manager for an industrial company in Umeå.
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Quality Manager for a leading industrial company in Umeå. Here, you will play a key role in the business and be responsible for driving quality initiatives both strategically and operationally—in close collaboration with production, engineering, and global functions. You’ll be part of the management team and lead a highly skilled and dedicated team.
Main duties:
- You will lead and develop the quality department and be responsible for staff, the budget, and the work environment.

You will develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with the quality management system.

You will ensure product quality throughout the entire value chain—from supplier to customer.

You will coordinate quality issues in collaboration with factories, customers, and distribution centers.

You will provide technical support to OEM customers and, if necessary, halt production in the event of quality issues.

You will lead training and development in root cause analysis and Lean-based improvement initiatives.

You will monitor and analyze KPIs and implement effective solutions for continuous improvement.
To be eligible for the role:

Do you have a solid background and experience in effective change management in a managerial role, preferably in the manufacturing industry?.

Do you have what it takes to be a reliable leader, where situational leadership is the key to success in a team of 7 people?.

Do you have a relevant academic degree in engineering, quality, production, or equivalent experience?.

Do you have several years of experience leading quality initiatives in the manufacturing industry?.

Do you have a deep understanding of quality assurance throughout the value chain?.

Do you have knowledge of Lean and experience with rotor failure investigations?.

Do you have strong analytical skills and experience using data to create effective solutions?.

Do you have a very good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written?.

You have a driver's license.
About the assignment
The assignment is expected to last six months on a full-time basis, starting in mid-September; we will present candidates to the client on September 16, and interviews with the client company will take place on September 17.
