Interim Head of Category & Purchasing
Interim Search has been commissioned to appoint a business-driven Interim Manager for Category & Purchasing. The company is active in retail and is part of a listed group. The role is part of the management team and reports to the CEO.
We are looking for a key person to join the company in the form of a skilled change leader and business-driven manager for Category & Purchasing. You will manage 6 direct reports and a team of approximately 47 employees. This role is also responsible for sourcing offices in Asia.
Main duties:
- Responsibility over strategic sourcing and supply chain.
- Increase store profitability through assortment and category.
- Create and drive commercial pricing and sales management strategies.
- Create effective category management in purchasing.
- Lead direct reports in purchasing and sales management through coaching and motivational leadership.
To be eligible for the role:
- You have solid experience at a strategic level in both national and international retail environments with a focus on global sourcing and category.
- You have experience in the retail sector, it would be an advantage if you also have experience in specialty retail.
- You have extensive experience in supplier negotiations, category work and sales management.
- You are a confident and senior manager with experience in direct reporting.
- You are business-driven and have good experience in change management.
- You have a degree in business administration, specializing in purchasing/commerce/logistics, or equivalent knowledge.
- You speak fluent Swedish and English.
About the process:
The assignment is expected to last approximately 6 months, starting no later than September 1. The position is full-time and will be based Tuesday-Thursday at the client's office.
