Interim Accounting Manager

In this role, you will handle challenging tasks in the field of accounting and work in an environment with dedicated colleagues who are passionate about the organization's important mission in the cultural sector.

Main duties:

• Act as leader, team builder, and coach for the accounting team consisting of four employees. Reporting is done to the CFO.
• Conduct performance reviews and set salaries.
• Lead and distribute operational work within accounting, customer and supplier accounts, banking, and fund management.
• Drive strategic initiatives in the financial area and be responsible for the long-term development of the accounting function.
• Improve and streamline current working methods by actively participating in development projects.
• Responsible for external accounting and reporting, such as annual reports for the Group and its companies, annual transparency reports, and other external reporting.
• Responsible for taxes and tax returns for all companies within the group, as well as for contacts and cooperation with associated companies.
• Requirements responsibility for financial systems (Agresso).

To be eligible for the role:

• Degree in economics or similar.
• At least five years of experience leading accounting teams and a drive to develop employees, processes, and working methods.
• Very good knowledge of accounting and solid experience of VAT and currency issues.
  Experience from system- and transaction-intensive operations, as well as experience in setting functional requirements for system suppliers and IT functions.
• Experience in banking and finance or other businesses with large transaction volumes is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Excel is required, and previous experience working with Agresso as a financial system is an advantage.
• As a person, you have an improvement-oriented approach and good analytical skills.

About the process
The role is full-time and the desired start date is before the end of the year. The assignment is expected to last for 6 months with a very good chance of permanent employment. We present candidates on an ongoing basis and interviews with the client company take place shortly thereafter.
