Johannes has mainly worked in large organizations. His first job was as a controller in the banking sector, before moving to an insurance company where he was rapidly over-recruited from one player to another with promotion. He progressed to Chief Controller of an international and very well known financial services company with responsibility for the budgeting and forecasting process, reporting to European headquarters and reporting to the Financial Supervisory Authority. After six years, he wanted to try a new industry and became a financial manager for a staffing company where he worked operationally on a day-to-day basis while managing three employees. After gaining some insight into the industry, he was attracted to work on temporary assignments and has now had three assignments as an interim consultant: financial manager for a media company, chief controller for another media company and most recently as chief controller for a billion-dollar healthcare company.
One of John's strengths is that he has periodically been a financial manager and thus gained an understanding of the entire finance function and then mainly had the role of head of controller and thus also acquired a cutting-edge competence. We recommend him primarily for larger service companies that are looking for a leader who is not afraid to roll up his sleeves.
