Kjell was pursuing a career as a controller at a large technology company when he was offered the role of CFO at a smaller technology company. After two years, he moved on to a similar role at a logistics company. He soon sought new challenges and found an exciting opportunity in Africa as CFO of an energy company. When it was time to return home, he was given an interim assignment as CFO at an international telecom and technology company, and was then hired as interim CFO for a Swedish manufacturing company that was going through a very turbulent period. The same telecom/technology company then hired him again as head of their controlling function. He has recently completed his third assignment as interim CFO.
Kjell is best suited when the company needs a reliable and senior person who can have a calming effect on a stressed staff group. He is experienced in negotiating with suppliers, working with drastic cost-cutting measures, and making major personnel changes. The assignment does not need to be dramatic in nature for him to be interested. However, you should have a change agenda and a place reserved in the management team to get the most out of his expertise.
