Interim Strategic Purchaser

Main duties:

• Responsibility for strategic purchasing of direct materials and logistics services for all production units of the company.
• Responsibility for outlining and developing the purchasing strategy in line with company objectives and management priorities.
• Responsibility for procurement, supplier contracts and for ensuring that the supplier base is cost-effective and able to deliver in line with business needs. 
• Responsibility for supplier management of environmental, sustainability and quality work with the help of supporting specialist expertise in quality and sustainability.
• Responsibility for continuous dialog with suppliers and for driving business and process development to increase the company's competitiveness. 
• Responsibility for actively contributing to the optimization of the value chain from supplier, to production and to end customer.
• Be responsible for actively contributing to correct make-or-buy decisions or other significant changes in the value chain.
• Responsibility for the participation of the purchasing function in product development projects.
• Responsibility for ensuring proper documentation of purchasing strategies, procurements and activities and the supplier base in general.

To be eligible for the role:

• At least 3 years of higher education in engineering or industrial economics.
• At least 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement and contracts.
• At least 5 years of experience in purchasing in the mechanical field, including tooling. 
• Advanced user of Excel
• Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. 
• Experience in electronics, plastics or textiles is an advantage.
• Experience in actively working with sustainable supply chains is an advantage. 
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 (medical devices) is an advantage.

About the process:

The assignment is full-time and lasts for 6 months with the intention of transitioning to employment directly with the customer after completion of the assignment. Start immediately.  

We present candidates during week 14 and customer interviews are conducted in connection with the presentation.
