Interim Legal Counsel

The role of Interim Legal Counsel:

Together with the Chief Legal Officer and another legal counsel, you will form the bank's legal function. The function is responsible for:

• identify, evaluate, control, and internally report legal risks
• ensure that Nordax's business operations are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and applicable provisions
• contracts and other legal documents are accurate, valid, and handled appropriately
• support the board and CEO in matters relating to good internal governance and control

 
In this role, you will support the business in a variety of legal matters within:

• contract law
• consumer rights
• market law
• insurance brokerage law
• personal data legislation

 
The assignment also includes monitoring new and amended regulations and participating in the preparation of internal governance documents and the implementation of contract management systems.

Who we are looking for:

• Bachelor of Laws.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience
• Experience working with regulations and business operations in a bank or finance company
• commercial focus
• ability to independently run and manage small projects
• easy to understand regulations from other Nordic countries
• good command of spoken and written Swedish and English

About the process:

We will present candidates on Thursday, June 15, at 3:30 p.m., and interviews at the company will take place on Friday, June 16. The assignment is full-time, starts immediately, and is expected to continue until December 31, 2017.
