Interim Head of the Environment and Construction Unit

Main duties:

The consultant assignment is intended to maintain Osby Municipality's vacant position as acting head of environment and construction pending the appointment of a new permanent employee. The employment level of the assignment is estimated at approximately 70% for 20 weeks starting 2021-08-16. The distribution of working hours will be agreed between the parties.

• Ultimate responsibility for the management, planning, development and monitoring of the Environment and Construction Unit.
• Responsible for about 10 employees and a turnover of about 6 MSEK.
• be the municipality's face to residents and authorities on environmental and construction issues.
• Responsible for working with the Environment and Building Committee and preparing cases.

To be eligible for the role, you have:

• Very good understanding of the exercise of authority.
• a holistic approach and financial and administrative know-how in their field of activity.
• Good ability to drive development work.
• Previous experience working in a politically governed organization or authority.
• Clear leadership that is present and engaging.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both Swedish and English.
